This guide provides basic troubleshooting steps that supervisors and managers can follow before escalating an issue to the IT team.

🖥️ PC Frozen or Unresponsive?
✔️ Step 1: Try pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete and select Task Manager to end unresponsive programs.
✔️ Step 2: If Task Manager doesn't open, force restart the PC by holding the power button for 10 seconds and turning it back on.
🚀 PC Running Very Slow?
✔️ Step 1: Close unnecessary programs and browser tabs.
✔️ Step 2: Search "%temp%" in Windows Start → Press Ctrl + A → Right Click on the selection and select Delete.
✔️ Step 3: Run "Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows" → Select "Adjust for best performance" → Click Apply.
🌐 No Internet Connection?
✔️ Step 1: Check if other users are also experiencing issues.
✔️ Step 2: Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected. If using Wi-Fi, check the signal strength.
📩 Still down? Report it to IT and specify if it’s affecting multiple users.
🔊 No Sound or Microphone Not Working? Background Noice?
✔️ Step 1: Check if the volume is muted or too low.
✔️ Step 2: Ensure the headset/microphone is properly plugged in.
Disable unnecessary devices:
Right-click the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom-right corner of your screen).
Select "Sounds" from the context menu.
In the "Sounds" window, go to the "Recording" tab.
You'll see a list of available recording devices (microphones).
Your Camera mic should appear here, along with your headset mic.
Right-click on your Web Camera microphone and select "Disable".
Make sure your headset microphone is enabled and set as the default device (you can do this by right-clicking on your headset mic and selecting "Set as Default Device").
Click "OK" to save changes.
Do the same for the "Playback" tab.

If this still an issue:
✔️ Step 3: Right-click the sound icon → Select "Troubleshoot sound problems" and follow the steps.
📌 For USB headsets, try unplugging and plugging them into a different USB port.
🖥️ Blank or Flickering Screen?
✔️ Step 1: Check if the monitor is powered on.
✔️ Step 2: Ensure the display cables are securely connected.
✔️ Step 3: Try pressing Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B to refresh the display.
If you tried to unlock your PC and the screen went black after entering your password, try pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete, then click the power button in the bottom-right corner and select Restart your PC.
🔄 Dual Monitor Not Working?
✔️ Step 1: Right-click the desktop → Select Display Settings.
✔️ Step 2: Click Detect Monitors and adjust the screen arrangement.
⌨️ Keyboard or Mouse Not Responding?
✔️ Step 1: Unplug and reconnect the device.
✔️ Step 2: Try a different USB port.
✔️ Step 3: Restart the PC and test again.
🖨️ Printer or Scanner Not Working?
✔️ Step 1: Check if the device is powered on and connected.
✔️ Step 2: Restart both the printer and the PC.
✔️ Step 3: Verify if there are any paper jams or low ink levels.
🔗 VPN Not Connecting?
✔️ Step 1: Restart the VPN application and try again.
✔️ Step 2: Ensure your internet connection is stable.
✔️ Step 3: Verify that your login credentials are correct.
📧 Email Not Sending/Receiving?
✔️ Step 1: Refresh your inbox or restart your email client.
✔️ Step 2: Ensure your internet connection is active.
✔️ Step 3: Check the spam/junk folder for missing emails.
🛠️ Software Crashing or Not Opening?
✔️ Step 1: Restart the program.
✔️ Step 2: Reboot the computer if the issue persists.
✔️ Step 3: Ensure the software is up to date.

Select the target email you want to filter.
Click on the three dots (menu) above the email and choose "Filter messages like this."
Edit the options to match your specific search criteria.
Set up your filter actions:
I recommend selecting:
"Skip the Inbox" to avoid clutter.
"Apply the label" (create a label relevant to your criteria).
"Also apply filter to matching conversations" to include previous emails that fit your criteria.
Click "Create filter" to save your settings.

Right-click on the target email you want to filter.
Select "Rules" and then click "Create Rule...".
Click on "Advanced Options..." for more filtering criteria.
Choose the conditions you would like Outlook to filter by (e.g., sender, subject line, keywords).
Edit these conditions by double-clicking the blue link in the white box to refine your filter.
Click "Next" to continue.
Select the actions you want Outlook to perform on the messages that match your criteria.
I recommend moving them to a new folder for easy access.
You can also set Outlook to flag them, mark them as important, or play a specific sound when receiving them.
Edit these options by double-clicking the blue link in the white box.
Click "Next".
Name your rule and save it.
You can check the option "Run this rule now on messages already in 'Inbox'" to apply it to existing emails.
Finally, click "Finish" to complete the setup.
