From the 16th to 20th of September, the Year 10s went on their annual Week Without Walls trip to Malang. It was a great chance for us to socialise outside of the classroom, to meet new people and try new things. During our trip, we painted windows, hammered walls into place, performed skits and took on challenging obstacles. We planted mangroves, played volleyball, climbed mountains and sat on buses. We had an awesome time, laughing together, crying together and freezing together. For me, the best part of the trip was interacting with you all outside of the classroom. I had such a great time getting to know you and watching you all work together and grow together as a class; those of you I teach and those of you I don’t. I look forward to taking these experiences and camaraderie forward into the rest of the year and beyond. Don’t forget these experiences; they teach us important lessons about ourselves. Thank you for sharing that with each other and with me. Don’t be strangers in the halls!
