On Monday, September 30 2019, the Student Support Services (@sss_gjs) hosts 80+ universities from 4 different continents at their Biennial University Fair. The event was open for Year 10, 11 and 12 students as well as for their parents and the public. Students and teachers from at least two other schools around Jakarta also came to the event. Overall, almost 300 people visited the Fair. The university representatives gave positive feedback and were impressed by how critical and knowledgeable our students are.

As part of the event, Year 10 & 11 students met with Alumni of Global Jaya before visiting the Fair. There were seven alumni from various graduating class (2010-2016) who came and became guest speakers. During the session, the alumni shared their experiences of going through the IB Diploma programme, how they chose their major and university, as well as some tips on what skills are needed these days to be successful in the real world. After the session, many of the Year 10 & 11 students stayed behind to engage in further discussions with the alumni.

We hope that the interaction with alumni and the information gathered from the university representatives can help the students plan their journey towards a successful high school completion and university admission.
