Dear Secondary Community,
The month of October has been an amazing time for our Global Jaya secondary students. The athletics carnival was a great opportunity for sportsmanship combined with the excitement of competing for House points. Watching Garuda, Rajawali, and Elang compete in the cheer competition was a demonstration of creativity and precision choreography.
Our parent turn-out for the Mid-Semester Conferences affirmed our belief that our parent community is at the heart of our success as a school. And let’s not forget the success of our varsity sports teams. The girls and boys varsity volleyball teams completed their season with a championship performance, winning the JAAC league championship. We were also impressed with the boys soccer team this year, which capped off an undefeated season with a JAAC championship as well.
Our GJS coaches deserve recognition for their time and dedication to the students. Without their energy and enthusiasm, our teams would not have experienced such great success this season.
Finally, the final week of October culminated with a Door Decoration Contest, Costume parade, Book Fair, Indonesian Day, and a focus on sustainability with our celebration of World Vegan Day. It is the continued extracurricular offerings that allow our school to holistically develop Global Jaya students. More importantly, these events and activities are a testament to the strength of our school and the support we receive from our parents, teachers, students, and community at large. Thank you for making Global Jaya an amazing place to live and learn.
