Dear Global Jaya Community,
We are coming to the end of term 3, with our eyes on the prize. The prize, of course, is academic growth and achievement.
The year 10 students will start their MYP eAssessment mock exams on Thursday, February 27 and finish on March 4th. (See the schedules attached). This year, we will host the English Language Acquisition, English Language and Literature, Korean Language and Literature, Integrated Sciences, Integrated Humanities and Mathematics exams. We are proud to be the only IB MYP school in Indonesia that has the eAssessments for all our year 10 students.
Remember that students must earn a 4 on their eAssessment results in August to be eligible for IB DP Mathematics Higher Level Courses.
Please remember that during the mock exams students must come to school by 7:30 am each day and that students will go to their classes after exams.
Best of luck on your exams year 10 students!
Also, year 10 students are hard at work on their ePortfolio. Students will develop on ePortfolio in either music, theater, visual arts, film, or PHE. They have been working hard with their teachers to develop and present their portfolio that will be externally assessed by IB examiners around the world. These are due on April 15th.
Year 9 students are learning all about university preparation with the help of the University Counselor, Ibu Dian and with our Learning Diversity Specialist, Ibu Dana. Students are learning how to track their desired pathways and how to use our university preparation platform - UniFrog.
The road to the MYP Personal Project has already begun! In addition to viewing our GJS personal project exhibition, 8 year 9 students went to visit the MYP Personal Project Exhibition at SWA. They took photos and prepared a presentation to share with their peers in MYP Core.
Year 7 students will soon begin a book talk presentation during MYP Core. Students will go to the library to check out a book and then present it to their class. Ask you child - What are you reading?
