Our Reception students recently enjoyed a very exciting and meaningful learning experience as part of their Unit of Inquiry 3, “How We Organize Ourselves.”
On February 9, 2026, we were delighted to welcome a special guest speaker, Ibu Putri, who visited the Reception class to share about her experience as a Captain on her yacht. The students were highly engaged as Captain Putri introduced them to the world of yachts and life at sea.
She shared real photos of the yacht she works on and showed the students a video, allowing them to explore its different parts. Captain Putri also explained how a yacht is maintained, the importance of keeping it clean and safe, and the many activities people can enjoy while on board. The session sparked curiosity, excitement, and thoughtful questions from our young learners, helping them connect classroom learning with real-life experiences.
In preparation for the Transportation Parade, the culmination activity of UOI 3, the Reception students have been working enthusiastically on their transportation projects. Using recycled cardboard materials, each student chose and designed their own 3D transportation model, showcasing creativity, independence, and problem-solving skills. The students took great pride in designing, creating, and decorating their transportation creations. They are incredibly excited to present their work and demonstrate their understanding of different modes of transportation through their designs and presentations.
The Transportation Parade will be a joyful celebration of learning, where our Reception Students proudly showcase their creativity, effort, and growing understanding of how transportation helps organize our world. They can’t wait to show their creation to everyone on the big day!
