100th Day of School
Kindergarten marked the 100th Day of School in the most adorable way, by dressing up as grown-ups!
Our classroom was filled with little “professionals,” community helpers, and future leaders. From smart blazers and traditional outfits to elegant dresses and stylish accessories, each child proudly showed who they dream of becoming. Their confidence truly shone as they shared their roles with friends.
More than just a dress-up day, this celebration reminded us how much the children have grown in 100 days, in their learning, friendships, independence, and courage.
Thank you to our wonderful families for your support in making this milestone so special. We are so proud of how far our Kindergarteners have come!
Celebrating Our
Family Traditions
This month, our Kindergarten class had the special opportunity to welcome parents into our classroom to share their meaningful family traditions. Each visit gave the children a deeper understanding of how every family celebrates, connects, and creates memories in their own unique way.
We began by learning about important celebrations. Ameer’s mom shared how their family observes Ramadan and the special moments they cherish together during this meaningful time. Kamilla’s mom and dad talked about how they celebrate birthdays as a family, while Gwyn’s mom and dad shared how Gwyn’s birthday is celebrated with a different theme each year, making it a joyful and creative tradition. Mischa’s mom shared how their multicultural family embraces different cultures by celebrating Christmas, Idul Fitri, and Chinese New Year throughout the year, showing love and respect for every tradition they carry.
We also explored how families bond through shared activities. Zeff’s dad told us about the outdoor adventures their family enjoys, highlighting the importance of spending quality time in nature. Tamalia’s mom shared how cooking together every weekend helps their family connect. Radif’s mom, dad, and grandma spoke about their weekly tradition of eating together at their favorite restaurant, turning a simple meal into a special time for connection and memory-making. Brook’s mom even brought pizza to show how their family enjoys Sundays by watching together and having a pizza party.
Another meaningful sharing came from Kaleya’s dad, who reflected on the traditions he experienced growing up and explained how those values shaped his journey to becoming a soldier who helps keep the world at peace. His story showed the children how family traditions can influence who we become in the future.
We are truly grateful to all the parents who generously shared their stories. Their presence enriched our learning and helped the children recognize and appreciate the beautiful diversity of traditions within our community.
