After several weeks of exploring the human body systems in the “Who We Are” unit, Year 4 students have successfully completed a comprehensive learning journey covering the digestive system, skeletal system, and muscular system. As the culminating event of this unit, students celebrated their achievements through a special event titled Clinic Day, held on Wednesday, February 25, at the MPH building.
Clinic Day served as a platform for students to present their learning outcomes. The event was designed not only as a reflection of their understanding but also as a celebration of the conceptual knowledge and skills they developed throughout the unit. Working collaboratively in groups, students researched specific health-related topics and prepared interactive presentations and demonstrations aligned with their chosen focus areas.
With great enthusiasm and confidence, students presented their work to visitors, including students from Year 1 to 6, parents, and teachers. Through this event, students demonstrated strong agency in their academic learning while also strengthening their communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
The topics presented during Clinic Day included:
Mental and Emotional Health
Nutrition and Digestive System Health
Physical Health: Muscular and Skeletal Systems
Healthy Lifestyle and Self-Management
Social and Community Health
Clinic Day was a meaningful learning experience for all Year 4 students. Through this event, students not only deepened their understanding of how body systems function but also recognized the importance of maintaining overall well-being physically, mentally, and socially.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all parents and members of the school community for their support in making this event successful and for contributing to an inspiring learning experience for our students.
