As part of the Energy Unit, Year 3 students participated in a field trip to explore how energy is produced, transferred, and used in daily life. Through interactive exhibits, students learned about renewable and non-renewable energy sources and how electricity supports modern living. The experience encouraged students to observe, ask questions, and make connections between classroom learning and real-world applications.
The trip supported the development of important skills such as inquiry, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Students worked together to share ideas and reflect on new knowledge. They demonstrated learner profile attributes by becoming curious inquirers, knowledgeable learners, and confident communicators while exploring sustainable energy solutions.
To enrich their understanding, students also attended a session with guest speaker Ibu Dewi Permatasari, who explained different forms of energy such as heat, light, sound, and electrical energy. She also discussed how energy can be transformed and used responsibly in everyday life. Students were highly engaged and actively participated by asking questions and sharing their experiences.
Overall, this learning experience provided meaningful opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of energy while developing essential skills for lifelong learning.
