The Induction program’s recommendation verification process includes a defensible process of reviewing documentation, a written appeal process for candidates, and a procedure for candidates to repeat portions of the program, as needed. The GGUSD Induction Program makes all personnel decisions without unlawful discrimination. These decisions include decisions regarding the admission, retention or graduation of students, and decisions regarding the employment, retention or promotion of employees.
Deadline Extension
Should the Candidate face unforeseen emergency circumstances that interfere with the ability to complete any component of the program within the expected timeline, a Request for Support must be filled out and submitted to the Program Supervisor for approval.
Grievance Policy: ARTICLE 5 - GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE
The purpose of this Article is to provide a procedure for the resolution of such problems as may arise involving the interpretation, application, or violation of this Agreement. A grievance must be filed within thirty (30) workdays of the event which gave rise to the grievance. Please refer to the complete GGUSD Grievance Policy in the most current GGUSD-GGEA Collective Bargaining Agreement for full details and procedures.
Request for Assistance
Should the Candidate, Mentor, or Administrator feel special assistance is required, a Request for Support form should be completed and submitted to the Induction Program Supervisor. After the form is received and reviewed, an Action Plan, including a timeline and follow up items, will be developed and agreed upon.
Leave of Absence
Please fill out a Request for Support as soon as you are aware of an upcoming Leave of Absence that will affect your particiation in the Induction Program.
Program Closure
In the event the program closes, a teach out plan, which would include an individual transition plans for each Candidate, as well as a plan for Candidates and graduates to access their student records, will be developed.
