She manages this high-acuity specialty population across multiple care settings, such as inpatient, outpatient, and home (tele-monitoring). She contributes to new and ongoing department policy development, clinical workflow improvement strategies, new APRN and clinical staff orientation, and actively participates in the institutional APP meetings for best practice.

Dr. Vandenbogaart shares her clinical expertise through local and national conference presentations and lectures for the annual UCLA Heart Failure Symposium, International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT), California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP), American Academy of Nursing (AAN), and the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) National Conference. As a double UCLA School of Nursing alumna, Dr. Vandenbogaart continues to give back to the school, dedicating her expertise and time serving as a guest lecturer, clinical mentor and clinical preceptor to UCLA School of Nursing students.
