The KPBSD Distance Learning Program offers extensions at the ends of semesters for eligible students who need additional time to capture credit. Acceptance is on a case by case basis and subject to instructor approval.

 Expectations and Understandings of accepting a Summer Extension:

• Students will promptly respond to their teacher's initial contact regarding the summer extension.

• Students will contact their teacher immediately if something prevents progress in their course.

• Students will check their KPBSD provided email and Canvas at least twice per week during the extension period.

• Students will work regularly on their course until finished with the course.

• The summer extension period ends at midnight on June 30, 2024.

• Teachers will do their best to respond to the student's messages within 48 hours (excluding weekends and periods of travel).

To apply, students must acknowledge that...

• They will initially receive their current grade on their report card.

• The grade will be updated according to the grade at the end of the extension period.

• They have access to a good working computer and internet connection.
