Andy RothenbergerĀ

I am originally from Seattle, and grew up about 30 minutes from the Key Arena and the Kingdome where I watched many sporting events.Ā  I also enjoyed running cross country and track and field in high school and at Pacific Lutheran University.Ā  The 400m, 800m, and long jump are my favorite events!Ā  IĀ  moved to Alaska in 2002 after earning a biology degree, and was hired for my first teaching responsibility at Kachemak Selo School in 2005.Ā  Currently, I'm a teacher with Distance Learning, and a sprint and jumps coach for Homer High during track season.Ā  I'm also a grad student at UAF in the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences.Ā  I spend a lot of time catching, trapping and netting fish in the Fox River Basin, and surveying changes within the watershed.Ā  My favorite animal is some sort of fish (depends on the day...).

Fun fact: Mr. R. builds and flies RC airplanes of all sizes.Ā  It's fun!
