Amanda Adams

Ms. Adams is originally from Texas but has been in Alaska most of her adult life. She went to the University of North Texas after which she joined the Peace Corps and spent 2 years teaching in Kazakhstan. After returning, Ms. A has continued in her teaching career eventually moving into school district administration, Currently, she is the Professional Development and Virtual Learning Coordinator for the district and oversees the Distance Learning Department. She is also continuing to teach in many ways - mostly teaching teachers! She does a lot of international work including training teachers in Uganda and Pakistan. She has 3 sons and lives in Seward. When she is not working, she loves to play outside hiking, camping, skiing and more along with reading (major book nerd!)

Ms. A's teaching philosophy is Learners first, always! She is dedicated to supporting learning at all levels and putting the humans first. This means that she cares more about you than any assignment. You are important!
