Dacula Middle was presented with the STEM Silver Award by the GCPS School Board on Thursday, 10/17/2019 for the work done during the 2018-2019 school year by our STEM Team.

This award was given in recognition of the instructional transformation in classrooms through rigorous and relevant STEM teaching and learning.

Dacula Cluster Visit ~ Thursday, 10/17/2019

Teachers and staff from Alcovy Elementary, Dacula Elementary, Mulberry Elementary, and Dacula High School visited Dacula Middle School and toured our classrooms to see all of the amazing work going on with and for students and to learn about our focus on Balanced Literacy/Balanced Numeracy. With our cluster's initiative on Transformational Learning, we all had a great day of discussion, planning, and coming together to help our students be their very best!

Important Reminders:

Did your student receive a letter requesting a teacher conference for next week?

Yellow letters were sent home on 10/9th.

Please check with your child if you have not received this letter and, if requested by their team, sign up for a conference. Information on how to sign up are included in the letter.

Fall Intramurals have finished due to the DMS Basketball, Cheerleading, & Dance Teams needing the gym.

Please stay tuned for information when the next round of intramurals will be starting!

What's Happening Around DMS

Counselors will be teaching the Teen Lures Lessons after the week of October 21st.

A letter went home on Friday, Oct 4th with this information.

If you do not want your child to participate, you will need to send a hand written letter by October 25th.

If you would like to preview the lesson, we will have the information available in the media center on Wednesday, October 23rd from 9:30 to 5:30.

Gwinnett Great Days of Service: 10/21st - 10/25th
