Hello! My name is Mandi Bruce and I am going into my 7th year teaching and my 5th year in Kindergarten! I previously taught 4th grade and worked in Special Education at Savannah.
I graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Child & Family Development. Prior to my elementary education career I worked at Emory University's School of Medicine in Psychiatry, specifically working with the Autism Resource Center and inclusion based school for several years. I then was a director of early childhood schools for about 8 years.
I've been married to my husband John for just over 3 years and have 2 amazing sons, Holton (13) and Tatum (11).
I can't wait to LOVE...LEARN...GROW with your child!
Hello! My name is Katie Goedken and I am so happy that I am a Kindergarten gator! This is my 6th year teaching and 3rd year at Savannah in Kinder.
I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2019 with a degree in Liberal Studies. I received my Masters degree in 2021 focusing on Literacy in lower elementary.
While in college, I studied abroad in South Africa, Uganda, and Peru which helped further develop my love and passion for teaching children of all ages, but especially the littles.
Since receiving my degrees, I have taught 5th, 6th, 1st, and Kindergarten. Kindergarten has by far been my favorite grade to teach.
I can't wait for an amazing year with your students!
Hi! My name is Jordan Vander Wiele and I am so excited to be joining the Savannah Gator Kinder team! This is my 1st year teaching, however I have several years of experience in Early Childhood Education outside of public school.
I'm originally from Houston, but graduated from the University of North Texas in 2024 with a degree in Elementary Education, and proud to call North Texas home!
I have a huge passion for play and inquiry, and I cannot wait to explore the world with your child!
