WORKING AT FCGS

We are a vibrant, happy, inclusive environment in which students of all abilities thrive within a culture of high expectations, friendship and aspiration. Our vision is to Empower Tomorrow’s Women and it is this that underpins everything we do and drives us to ensure that our students have every opportunity to achieve academic excellence.

As we are a relatively small secondary school and are non selective we are warm and friendly. Many of our staff are long standing and choose to stay because they share values and a deep belief in what we do. We passionately believe that all our girls can achieve anything they set their minds to. Our staff are fundamental in achieving this ethos and we value the unique set of skills that each person brings. New staff seem to fit in well because of our open and friendly approach. The Senior Leadership team take a consultative approach and staff are genuinely valued. There are new opportunities opening in our Fulham Cross Sixth Form.

We do believe in ‘growing our own’ and in addition to traditional recruitment we are active partners with local universities delivering ITT and PGCE programmes as well as training some of our Teaching Assistants through TES Institute and Assessment Only routes. We are also part of the West London Teaching Schools Alliance and offer unsalaried Schools Direct Programmes (and STEM Internships) in partnership with St Mary’s University Twickenham. The link to our potential WLTSA training vacancies is here.

The majority of Schools Direct trainee recruitment takes place between October and April every year.

For all our staff we offer:
