EQUALITIES OBJECTIVES
As part of our commitment to ensuring equality for all, and in line with our Equalities Policy we have chosen to focus on the following Equality Objectives as part of our continuous drive for school improvement.
Equality Target - Outcomes
Ensure outcomes for students in receipt of Pupil Premium Funding are in line with 2019 (as a minimum achieving a Progress 8 Score of +0.37).
Ensure students with additional educational needs secure outcomes that are in line with 2019 (as a minimum achieving a Progress 8 Score of + 0.5).
In addition, we will analyse student outcomes by ethnicity to ascertain any significant data.
Equality Target - Behaviour and Safety
Ensure attendance for students in receipt of Pupil Premium Funding is broadly in line with that of non-Pupil Premium students at 90% as a minimum.
To support the mental health of students so that they are happy, safe and able to thrive.
High expectations in behaviour are reflected across pupil groups equally.
Equality Target - Culture and Ethos
Empower sessions are accessed equally by all student groups.
Students are able to access a wide range of character development opportunities regardless of Pupil Premium Funding Status, Additional Educational Needs, ethnicity and gender (or any other protected characteristics).
Students are supported to access quality work experience placements regardless of background.
Equality Target - Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
All leaders are aware of the diversity, equality and inclusion targets and are positively engaged when coaching/discussing these targets with other staff members
As part of the governance training, all governors are trained on diversity, equality and inclusion issues, including those related to exclusions.
