Coremasters (also known as center masters, but those are less-cool sounding), right?
Anyways: Burst, Smash, X-Treme, Trigger, Fallout, Accel, Springboard (has the least amazing name but boosts others well), Importance
Corresponds to Peak units 1-8, these are larger morphing robot bodies that each turn from standard robo-mech-vehi-auto mode(s) to customized spontaneously recolored deformatted proto-merge modes that combine with the coremasters (robot suits that turn into cores, obvious) to each form a different configuration (each looks very different due to all the newly introduced parts splitting apart/up and augmenting the new thing in different areas/parts/airlocks/docking-ports); all the first eight made can forge (merge) together to form a large robot that suspiciously looks like it could turn into a flying carrier of sorts... Four form the torso, backpack, accessories, and part of the limbs (body connector joints and armor located there, namely the shoulder pad and waist/crotch support-defense-protection piece); four others form the rest of the limbs. Each eighth has a different power. The toy prototype was never made/released, too complicated.
You listening? Okay, Basically, there's this guy called Ethan and he does stuff with his friends until the Exalted Ones, a strange extra-dimensional species of overpowered beings, show up and run experiments on him for some unexplained reason. He gets the Canon which is story power and adds 100,000,000 more years to his lifespan (effectively making himself and his buddies basically immortal), and Ethan gets thrown back onto Earth, but not the Earth he knows. So apparently, when Ethan got teleported back to Earth, time had restarted at a certain point by still had all the human infrastructure and non-human things. Also, a couple of planets spawned and the world rearranged itself, and at the same time... Later, Earth-0 OG Canon exploded and became Earth-0 and many other Earths (aka the multiverse, which keeps expanding in scale as the story goes on) Earth-0 is also ten-to-twenty times bigger but the human-sized stuff is still the same, just the towns and cities are spread out.
