Ethan's head-canon section start: The entities from the lower levels became known as demons, while those in/from the first layer started calling the beings from the sky angels. (REBOOT thought that referred to them, but it turned out that there were some aliens from a neighboring planet, and that there was some actual sky deity cult, and they worshiped a space society that rotated around an space emperor who seemed to be nice but was secretly evil and sending all the assassins/spies. A creature appeared, this was the giant space face deity, the false Creator. Some pure Soul Utopians had left the sun to go to the negative two layer to explore the world, accidentally running into the emperor's forces there. The negative one layer, a portal in space that led to the layer below the zero and first layers but technically actually upwards "above" space, this is where the evil emperor was, so the team had to go there.) So, Ethan, who hates people who don't admit their mistakes and people who falsely claim to have made the universe (glares at Ayan) declares war. Ethan, Vincent, and Remy told the others to join them at the staging point, but a saboteur stole their spaceship to blow their massive fleetship up, so they had to fly by their own power instead. Ethan used his rainbow road/tunnel, Ayan used rocket thrusters, Matt went into Ultra Mode and levitated upwards, Yash generated technoorganic wings, Hank got a whole set of twin miniaturized Canon-powered boosters on his back, Joe punched the ground so hard he started to fly upwards, Remy did a magic spell where he jumped and looked up, and Vincent apparently warped space by some means (kneeled five times and then clapped, so he flew). During the losing battle, Pixelly Kid came along with Fetus Deletus Lag syndrome, downloaded it into the Emperor's throne, where it disabled the... whole kingdom's... infrastructure including the life support systems and the oxygen fields, making the angels (who serve the emperor) all have to put on battle suits and fly to fight and conquer REBOOT and the tribes to subjugate them and extract their powers. The demons appeared and tried to corrupt everything with corrupted Canon, forcing a temporary ceasefire to beat the demons, who brought in their elite brutes... Ethan's head-canon then quickly ended, as it apparently was too similar to the world's most published book, also known as... uh... the...) Later, some space invaders appeared floating above the ground, and the forklift was deployed to fight them, along with the Silver Swan, which turned out to be quite alive. It spread its angelic wings and flew for one last time with a halo around its body until another angel-like being quite suddenly cut it down, starting the whole "We found the emperor, but he's evil and wants us gone, so we have to fight his angelic forces in space. Oh look, a demon..." ultra-arc. Then, demons joined the chat, and suddenly, the situation got a lot more confusing. *(Note the Silver Swan is strange, arguably even bizarre, but its not a Trace like so many others... it's a space fungus thing???)
This all led to... formation of an incredibly powerful new fighting melee style, the cycle of hit, with multiple variations on the technique and new equipment to supplement/augment it, such as fold-out plasma square punchers, force fields, repulsor cannons, and non-Canon tools. Naturally, counters were developed as well.) -End of this part, but these newer concepts that were introduced are still relevant.
History blurb excerpt - All the elements combined their energy beams in the First Conquest (Rob-lock war), where Rob-lock took advantage of their instability, distrust, and infighting after existing together for about a million years, and they finally all made the first Soul from a heavenly ray, the first new Soul Utopian in millions of years. ("Spirit combined with Mind, Physical, Finale. Superhuman cause of anomalies... Karrat, of the tower, hear and help us!" It worked in reactivating the tower/pillar.) That Soul individual, Queasy, managed to halt the advance of most of Rob-lock's army by calling down the rest of her siblings from the higher realms of the universe. When Rob-lock, fully powered through the use of the imperfect proto-elements known as the Artificial elements, arrived in the Second Conquest, he nearly defeated everyone present until suddenly, Prizey reappeared with his old memories thanks to Soul. Despite now disliking Karrat, Prizey refused to leave his sister Queasy and the other Vins or the Elemental Utopians behind. Prizey helped defeat Rob-lock before falling victim to a vicious attack. (There is an imperfect "pre-gem" form Rob-lock and his followers are currently stuck in. They have not yet ascended to become awakened Soul Utopians, so Rob-lock sought to artificially do so with his Soul Scepter by destroying other elements and taking their energies for himself... Prizey once got to his “post-gem” form (with help from Tushaar), which was what allowed him to overcome the energies of the Soul Scepter, making Rob-lock retreat. However, being a Vin, he lost focus and the energy needed to maintain his form, leaving himself open to a memory wipe by Rob-lock’s remaining forces.) Prizey healed himself at the cost of his memory, running off to wander the planet again. The others were so busy chasing Rob-lock, by the time they thought of Prizey, he was gone once more... skip to present day. Before that, though, the Artificial elements turned on Rob-lock, but he destroyed them all.

Secondary Elements: Crystal, Metal, Radiation, Lava/Magma, Wind, Fuel/Oil, Shadow, Steam/Plasma
Retconned elements: combination elements, most substantial elements (Energy, Crystal, Gas, Ore, Will, Properties, Theorem, Life)
Locations of the "holy" elements: Plant, poison/fungi (X), water, ice, fire, air, rock, ground (X), electricity, soul, crystal, metal, radiation, lava/magma (^/X), wind, fuel/oil, shadow, steam/plasma, energy (X), gas (X), ore (X), will (X), properties (X), theorem (X), life (X)
Nature's Peace: Home to the Plant Elementals, peaceful and intelligent mages who have kept track of the history of Utopia. They use their staff(s) and sticks as their weapons of choice. They are the most kind and wise of all the elements; helping our heroes out a lot. They are the masters of all of nature, and they have the most potential to learn to partially use other elements without wilting. Though there are no animals in Utopia to control, the plant Elementals can later control fungi, and they can read the minds of dogs and such.
Forbidden Swamp: Home to Poison/Fungi, which stayed in a marsh pit in the center of Nature's Peace and used snake avatars that could speak any language and understand all. They were infinitely knowledgeable, but their pride led them to become reclusive and dangerous. They had the ability to mutate insects and helped the Invaders on multiple occasions. This changed when Tushaar crashed a flaming cardboard box there by accident, and communication with the outside world was reestablished. The swamp became a desert, and most of the people somehow turned into cactus avatars. (Rob-lock, of course.) Their cactus avatars were later revealed to be a temporary reskin, much to everyone's relief, but it turned out that at the end of the day, fungi dies out competing with plants, and so the survivors became Plant Elementals. (X)
Underwater Oasis: Home to the Water Elementals, experts at sneak attacks and curious mermen who spend their days helping those who can't, their preferred weapons are spears and tridents. (For some reason, they live away from the Ice Elementals, preferring the little sea next to the tectonic plates, where water actually exists.) Their section/sector is very cold or warm depending on the area.
Cold-old City: Home to the element of the Ice Elementals - very shy and defensive sphere or cube people who stay very close to their homes, and use heavy armor for combat. They apparently are the best at new types of magic, like snowball and avalanche magic. The seasons have no effect on their home, which has been covered in shiny hard packed sleet, which apparently reflects almost all sun-heat. As they do not conduct electric currents like Water Elementals do, they can properly counter Electric Elementals.
Plane of Fire: Home to the Fire Elementals, were once ruthless and deadly warmongers, now more calm observatory fellows, use only the sharpest and heat-tipped blades for dismembering limbs. Lava/Magma, the subgroup of Fire, are close to the Rock world/land. Lava once had the capability of having an alternate form (Magma) before Vincent arrived, but Rob-lock destroyed that powerful capability.
Sky Metropolis: Home to the Air Elementals, winged humanoids with a sense of humor, they never seem to run out of fun when flying; experts of head-to-head combat and charge at their enemies with their horned antler helmets, where the antlers come from will be later. They are likely coming from some reindeer.) Wind seems to be a subgroup of Air, and they prefer higher altitudes in the jet streams.
Stone Kingdom: Home to the Rock Elementals, proud, careful architects who spend their time honoring their king and perfecting their kingdom and craft, typically using both flat and spiked marshal's hammers to crush their enemies. The subgroup of Ground preferred a more humid, sandy, grainy climate, so they moved between a marsh and a desert, terraforming a small plot into dirt, where they enjoyed living with a couple of giant "cactuses" for a while.
Mountain Ranges: The area of the Ground Elementals, who liked dirt over rocks. They specialized in turning into dust and flying with the current. They also seemed to be very good at helping things grow compared with the Rock Elementals, who didn't know what compost is. After the "cactuses" disappeared, Ground stayed in their high-up plots of dirt, while Rock seemed to start going up into the mountains, taking Ground's old land. Later, because of Rob-lock's schemes, the Ground Elementals were all turned into Rock Elementals, now only able to control stones, and with no way to go back to their former state. (X)
Electric-IA: Home to the Electricity Elementals, crazy and chaotic mechanics who make the greatest technology and host the greatest parties ever. They fight with their advanced mechs and weapons to obliterate any who doubt their strength. Vincent got some cool stuff and his new set of powers for the foreseeable future from here, but at the same time, it kind of nerfed Ethan, who originally used lightning/thunder/electric-based powers as well. This made him a bit depressed, but his discovery of some future lore and blueprints left around in an invisibly sealed cave made him feel better. He switched to curve beam/ray magic, taught to him by the Energy/Soul subgroups, which collaborated with Ethan in secret. (Shh.) Meanwhile, Remy, feeling left out, went to the hidden metal/radioactivity world, where he got other powers, shown later on. Then, the Endless Rocks came back... and Rob-lock found them.
Row-Bow; Hidden Realm: Karrat personally created a home city that he left for his creations, and it is the location of the "Pure" Soul Utopians, known for their various subworlds and locations all created via their life force. Unfortunately, thanks in no small part to Rob-lock CO, they have become known as greedy tyrants who seek domination over Utopia. The true Soul (Energy, which was in disguise) tribe, not considering themselves true elementals from the first attempt at life, lived in the unknown heavens (The Hidden Realm.) above... Watching all like the Observer, and valuing equality above freedom, and many other radical beliefs that worked well for them. The awakened Soul element is its own category, its not bound by being natural, so it can be considered a 'truly pure' element (Guess it's all the elements, so it beats all of them.)
Shining Palace: A glimmering world made by the survivors of Crystal, they now live between the Metal and Radiation groups, and their numbers have been greatly reduced. They have a memorial to their old allies of Ore, Gas, and Energy there, and they have vowed to one day put all their effort into defeating Rob-lock... that is, when they finally come out from hiding behind their defensive walls.
Center Team: The Metal tribe, hidden from most of Utopia, but still considering themselves true elementals from the first attempt at making elemental life forms, lived in the core of the Earth, next to the Radioactivity tribe/group/team, and they got along fairly well due to only having different powers and both generally preferring a simple, peaceful existence of art and philosophy, along with dancing.
Isotopic Group: The Radioactivity (really radiation) tribe, almost not considering themselves true elementals from the first attempt at making elemental life. These elementals hide underground and barely show themselves to the outside world. They and Metal live in the core of the Earth next to each other, and they got along due to diplomacy. They are lethal to humans without radiation suits, later, due to another one of Rob-lock's schemes, they were all made extinct, with the survivors converting into Metal elementals to survive, but Canon was harnessed by Tushaar to save them from past the brink.
Magna-Ferron: Formed by a combination of fire and rock, Lava/Magma stay in their realm, barely ever leaving, so Rob-lock's antagonism didn't really do much to them besides making them shout at the others across their borders every morning instead of sending their Carta steeds with air horn recordings over to be blasted at full volume every morning. They are the major manufacturers for most of the other tribes, but they let Fire handle trading, along with delivery services, with the obvious exception of monetary transactions. Magma is now gone, because of Rob-lock... (^/X)
Repair Pits: Oil/Fuel - Instead of being one tribe, they are scattered everywhere in a wide region inside the region of rock. They lack special powers and mostly rely on being smart, manipulating others, and creating technology on par with the Electric elementals. They have a natural fear of Fire. They were created to fill a void after many elements disappeared, which was due to Rob-lock, of course...
Cumulonimbus Cluster: Contains the Wind Elementals. These are some of the fastest elementals of all, bordering on light speed after breaking the sound barrier. They transmit data the fastest and handle the air travel/trade for the other elementals. They seem to have few weaknesses besides hating any sneezing, which Remy would find out about the wrong way... and he got whacked just once for it.
Contour Camp: Home to creatures known as the invaders (sealed, imperfect form), most don't know they are part of Shadow. The species is a "tainted version of Soul" (pure Utopians, but Steam is a bit of an exception to that rule, due to having to evolve further beyond normal boundaries to become plasma) due to being partially sealed by Rob-lock in one of his destructive conflicts he started millennia ago. Fueled by warfare and pillage, these ravagers will attack any kind of nation, no matter how powerful it is. They respect those who can beat their leaders in consecutive one-on-one battles, but they never tell anyone that. They get more civilized after REBOOT comes along and kind of have to beat some manners into them via wrestling matches and martial arts... "But then, everything changed when the Shadow nation didn't attack." They can copy the outlines, bodies, behaviors, and much more things of other Utopians. They do not have a counterpart that is called Light, that being more of Steam/Plasma, which is (noun) Bright.
Fusion Powerhouse: Steam/Plasma: Born from when Water and Fire combined heat and cold to make H2O turn into something new, which later gave birth to Snow (but Snow got turned into Ice as well due to Rob-lock CEO being evil)... which led to Magma sort of splitting from Lava to become even fiercer warriors, but Rob-lock used a mass-production reverso-ray on them "by accident", making them no longer able to access a separate Magma form, now bound to a half-solid-liquid form that constantly spewed oxygen everywhere. Steam is in the atmosphere, always near Sky or Wind, while Plasma* (Final form of Steam) is unconsciously searching for the realm of Soul in the upper atmosphere, and they later looked to the Sun and stars, spreading out at astronomical speeds by utilizing light-matter conversion and Ultrawarp, derived from the MANCM's phase-physics and other technology like Meta-science. *(Plasma, as the final form of Steam, exists only in stars. When they are on Utopia or any Earth, they must revert to a more gaseous form, Steam.)
The old Substantial Elements: Energy (X), Crystal, Gas (X), Ore (X)
Glistening Geode: Home to the small sub-element of Crystal, elementals with a fragile interior and are afraid of foreigners. They nearly went extinct when Rob-Lock took over for a brief period of time and now require protection from the other elements to thrive, but are still considered true elements. They (with Ore and Gas at the time) shared a friendship with the Metal and Radioactivity tribes for a long time and are their close allies. Despite these and their companion groups not being “true natural elements”, their power still comes from the same source: the tower/pillar. When Rob-lock destroyed this group's companion elements, they used the last of what they had to help relocate the survivors beyond Rob-lock's reach.
Rumbling Restorative: Ore resided in this place and did its own thing, staying quiet until it was needed to power other things up. Instead of having fragile bodies like the Crystal elementals, they had strong composure, but did not handle insults well, as their self-confidence (and strength by extension) was drained without motivation. They helped the Gas elementals out by giving them bodies, but nobody knows that this group used to have liquid bodies, and it took years of practice for them just to get to a semi-solid state, before hardening into a liquid-filled body with a glowing core. Rob-lock found and destroyed them, before turning his sights to the others, and only Crystal managed to escape. This information was gleaned from historical records. (X)
Quicksand Quantity: The name is a tribute to the Sand element, which suffered the same (a similar) fate as Snow due to Rob-lock, being turned into Ground elementals instead of Ice. Gas lived here and somehow manages not to float away. This is due to the support of Ore, which created many hollow bodies to keep the unsolidified Utopians from floating away, making them have to roll around. If they concentrated, they could solidify to pick up things. They, like Crystal, were frail-bodied, as they could easily be separated by any current or disturbance. Alternatively, they could lattice themselves with anomalous particles to form a temporary vessel. Gas, along with Ore, was destroyed by Rob-lock. This information was gleaned from historical records. (X)
Power Emitter: Energy, which has its members made through the fusion(s) of a Crystal, Gas, and Ore elemental, resides at the center of the circle-shaped place. The rest of the three combining elements exist in one third around the circular center, all making up a spherical civilization underground, generating thermal energy/causing hot spots and plate tectonics, along with the magnetic field and such. They and two of the surrounding elements were destroyed by Rob-lock, who claimed their elemental energy to power his corrupt empire. (X)
Will, Properties, Theorem, Life (Made by the Silver Swan as imitation elements to maintain its body.)
Silver Swan: Once a living being, it is now a comet/asteroid with energy wings and unknown materials that make up feathers and flares. This fossilized and preserved projectile zooms above the Earth in the stratosphere at a hundred miles an hour, and it emits a pale light, showing lunar origins. Will, Properties, Theorem, and Life reside there; they are different colored energy forms with no defined shape. Their true forms respectively when they evolve from proto-elements are quite different from their original form: Diviners, Deciders, First, and Last. These mysterious elements are the few that were given the power to rival true soul utopians. Unfortunately, Rob-lock is also an incredibly powerful being due to already being in a pure form, albeit more "ascended"/corrupted. The Silver Swan would later start to fall towards Earth-64 (Utopia), and Vincent and the others would have to get it* back into orbit unharmed so the sub-elements could continue maintaining it for the next few hundred years without Rob-lock interference. Why did he never build his own spaceship to take down the asteroid? Who knows. All that is known is that REBOOT does have spaceships besides their very-in-need-of-an-upgrade forklift, which Ethan and Remy-CLASH would happily upgrade by spamming equipment all over an revamped frame. (The Swan was later destroyed.)
List of elemental casualties caused by Rob-lock CO in order: Energy, Gas, Ore, Sand, Snow, Mud, Hail, Marsh, Sludge, Swamp, Pollution, Magma, Poison/Fungi, Ground (but Ground later came back to replace Rock), Radioactivity (but they were saved), and Soul (the awakened ones, but the pillar later brought them back, enraging Rob-lock, who didn't dare to harm the pillar.)
Wind is next on Rob-lock's list, then Crystal, then Oil/Fuel, Shadow, and finally, Radiation and Metal, with the remainders of Plant, Water, Ice, Fire, Air (gaining the different powers of Wind), Ground, Electricity, Soul, Lava, and Steam/Plasma being too busy in petty infighting to prevent Rob-lock from conquering them all. Unfortunately, right now, this is the future that will come to pass. And to top it all off, with the Soul Scepter, it was planned that the Soul elements that had awakened would be destroyed, Rob-lock and his followers would slay Karrat, and by destroying Steam/Plasma, the last, most powerful of the elements, Rob-lock could control the remainders of Plant, Water, Ice, Fire, Air, Ground, Electricity, and Lava to dominate... everything. Then he had to contend with the emperor, and Karrat, who had given up on the Utopians and planned to destroy them all. The MANCM had to stop this... anyways. Nature's Peace was destroyed, and the Plant Elementals were turned into Nature Elementals. At the end... the vision was lost forever... but, it turned out that the data of all Elementals was always stored in the Pillar, so every element was brought back! Rejoice!!! Hurrah.
Pyran/Mythrin/Pneumure/Jointure: The possible home for the Snow and Sand elements, though the both relocated elsewhere, as both had tried to overthrow Rob-lock but failed, ending up being scattered to the winds and changed out of existence. This area never got renamed, even after REBOOT set up camp there and spammed their new armies and factories in.
Libertiaeon-snow: Literally the most dangerous place on this planet. Even Rob-lock CO. abandoned this place out of fear. It has an old rocket launch array. Former home of Snow, before they all died out.
Funnel Spikes: Another dangerous place no sane being lives in... This has resulted in lots of old stuff being lost/hidden there though...
Local Disturbance: Spectral activity is high there, yet low levels of spirits, actually, none are detected there, strangely, for some reason.
Later on, other sub-elements would be found, corresponding to categories/parts of the periodic table made by the MANCM. The next eight elements to appear according to Earth's Almanac were going to be Sand, Snow, Mud, Hail, Marsh, Sludge, Swamp, and Pollution. The unnatural artificial created "possibly harmful" elements were made by Rob-lock to combat the others, however, they turned on him, so he erased them, absorbing their power but gaining no new powers. Therefore, it is likely that these were only proto-elements. Despite it seeming that Sand and Snow had been lost, their elemental data had been preserved elsewhere thanks to the efforts of the Silver Swan's consciousness, causing the next set of elements to be saved on a Rosetta Stone device/tablet and later able to be recreated via the pillar. These eight were likely meant to somewhere correlate to one of the eight each, but besides Snow and Hail corresponding to Water or Ice, along with Sand, Mud, Marsh, Swamp, and Sludge corresponding to Stone or Ground, the last one, Pollution, doesn't seem to relate to anything prior. The Substantial elements don't really correspond to the earlier sixteen; instead following their own path of formation.
Artificial/Unnatural elements: Sand, Snow, Mud, Hail, Marsh, Sludge, Swamp, and Pollution.
Proto-elements: TBSubtracted
Opposing primordial elements: Hot and Cold, Light and Dark, Life and Death, Good and Evil, Time and Space, Matter (Existence) and Antimatter, Combination and Split - Coupled together by destiny and laws of science.
More retconned elements:
Substantial Elements: Energy, Crystal (which joined the secondary elements), Gas, Ore, Will, Properties, Theorem, Life (the last four became assistants aboard the Silver Swan that maintain it, as said by Karrat himself, they are not elements.)
OG Elements (Ancient/primordial beings, extinct, left ruins): Earth (land and sea), Weather, Space, Atmosphere, Core, World, Star, Elements
Modern OGs reinterpreted: Earth (land, sea, sky - weather/atmosphere), space, star power, core-elements - they take the place of Will, Properties, Theorem, and Life once the Silver Swan is destroyed, and the OGs mutate into new forms before gaining sentience!
Sub elements (Substantials and modern OGs combined) Energy, Crystal, Gas, Ore, Earth, Space, Star, Core (also known as all of the remaining elements after the primary and secondary elements)
Notes: Ice doesn’t conduct electricity!!! Teach kids correct/real science! Sand apparently is an insulator. (We still follow real physics, you know, elements ain't magic, and most magic that travels in a straight line is still subject to gravity, it just travels really fast, but it sucks at leaving the atmosphere...)
(Secondary elements were naturally created; imitation elements were artificially created after the naturals by the Silver Swan, and other powerful "natural" forces that worked for Karrat sought to combat Rob-lock CO, so they created the substantial elements.)
