K Science Checklist

Science Checklist

For Kindergarten Science students will begin developing science mindsets by studying weather and climate. They will continue tracking weather through the course of the year to identify patterns. During this unit they will be introduced to the impact that the sun has on the environment and learn about engineering principles they can use to solve problems. During second quarter, students will have the opportunity to consider data tracking with Forces and Motion and may have the opportunity to get outside for some playground science or putt-putt! During 3rd quarter, students will be introduced to what animals and plants need to survive and learn about habitats, in 4th quarter they will consider the impact plants and animals have on the environment.
