Quarter 1

In this quarter there is a focus on the causes and effects and challenges and opportunities that came along with the Age of Exploration and the Exploration of the New World. Students explore the question: What compels people to seek lands beyond their own? 

Students will work on developing skills in: 

• Map reading

• Asking questions

• Speaking, listening, communicating

• Interpreting data for understanding
