HELPFUL GRAPHICS:
The dot product may be performed on vectors in any form. Simply multiply the first components together and add them to the product of the second components. When you apply the dot product to two vectors, the result is a scalar, which may be positive, negative, or zero.
You may use the equation for the angle between two vectors to show if two vectors are parallel, orthogonal, or neither.
