HELPFUL GRAPHICS:
Absolute (Global) Maximum: A point where the function obtains its greatest possible value.
Absolute (Global) Minimum: A point where the function obtains its least possible value.
Relative Maximum: a high point in the function, but not the highest overall.
Relative minimum: A low point in the function, but not the lowest overall.
Increasing: Where the slope of the function greater than 0.
Decreasing: Where the slope of the function is less than 0.
Constant: Where the slope of the function is equal to zero
You find all of these by comparing what is happening with your range as your domain increases.
Khan Academy Practice:
Even Function: A function that is symmetrical about the y axis.
Odd Function: A function that is symmetrical about the origin.
Khan Academy Practice:
Each change to the parent function will transform the graph.
