HELPFUL GRAPHICS:
Use the linear form to add or subtract two vectors by combining like terms.
For any nonzero vector v, divide v by its magnitude to find a unit vector u in the same direction.
Vectors can be multiplied by a scalar, which is a value with only magnitude and no direction. The product of a vector v and a scalar k is a vector that is |k| times as long as v. The direction of kv is the same direction as v if k is positive and the opposite direction of v if k is negative.
