Joining / Onboarding

1️⃣ Apply to eXp Realty

Complete an application with eXp Realty. In Minnesota you can apply to eXp Realty without being fully licensed, however, you will remain in the onboarding process until your license is active with the MN Department of Commerce. Put 00000's in the spot for your license number at this time-we will update it as soon as your license is issued!  

2️⃣ License Transfer or New License Application

Once you complete an application to eXp Realty and have submitted it, an Administrative Support Coordinator will reach out to you via email with your next steps in order to move your license over to eXp Realty. License transfers (active licenses only) are done instantly $20.40 and new licenses are 7-10 days $117.50. All transfers and applications are done over the phone by appointment with the eXp Realty MN Broker Team. 

3️⃣ Application and ICA Review

Our onboarding department will also work to review your Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and may send you revisions to complete if needed.  Please watch your email! Most delays in onboarding are due to unsigned revisions in spam folders!

4️⃣ Join an Association (New Agents Only)

Within the first 30 days you will need to be a member of local REALTOR® Board. If you are an active agent transferring to eXp Realty from another brokerage, we will notify your current association of your office change.

5️⃣ Complete Mentor or Team Agreements (If Applicable)

Please watch your inbox for any agreements you need to sign if you are joining a team or need a mentor. If you have had less than 3 transactions and you are not joining a team, you will be assigned a mentor shortly after onboarding. 

6️⃣ Congrats! You are an active agent with eXp Realty!

Watch for a "Welcome to eXp Realty Minnesota" email. It will have our Quick Start Guide and instructions on the next steps. Be sure to bookmark this website so you can refer back to it often as you are getting started. Hang on to all emails (you can always review them later) and jump in! We are excited you are here!
