If you are changing brokerages, taking a break for a few months, or leaving the business altogether, there are a few things you will need to know!
First, of course, we would love it for you to reconsider. If there is anything we can do better or you would like to share your experience, please reach out to us here to have our broker give you a call asap. Email our broker with any questions/concerns.
Second, terminating your relationship with eXp can only be done by you and in writing. If you decide you are leaving, please note: The state does NOT tell us if you move your license. Monthly fees for access to eXp begin immediately upon your activation and are only stopped when you send a written notification to your state broker’s team* requesting offboarding, per eXp Realty’s Policies and Procedures Manual (page 27 paragraph 6).
“ Agent billing shall continue unless written notice to offboard was delivered to Company by agent or agent was terminated by Company. Any prepaid fees, dues or other billable items are nonrefundable.”
Only when you have been moved to offboarding by your broker's team will your access to eXp and your billing be deactivated, using the effective date supplied by the broker. Any open invoices will be processed for payment to close your account, but no further monthly fees will be created.
