All advertising shall be conducted under the supervision of the broker.
This is why all advertising (real estate signs, business cards, advertising, social media campaigns, publications, newspaper ads, etc.) must be submitted to both mn.broker@exprealty.net and marketing@exprealty.net before being published. This is also why “Advertising” for auditing and record-keeping purposes is a required if applicable line item in SkySlope Checklist for Listings. If there is any advertising beyond the MLS (such as newspapers, facebook ads, etc.) these need to be uploaded for broker review. Advertising rules apply to any method of communication including print and electronic media as well as on social media sites.
Advertising must be done in your Name, Team Name, DBA / Assumed Name, or LLC. You must use your name as it appears on your real estate license in advertising, otherwise, the name must be registered to you with the MN Secretary of State. To apply for an assumed name / DBA, go HERE.
The Company Logo must be clear and prominent in all forms of communication, promotion, and signage. The Company logo must be equal to or larger than your name or any team branding, etc, legible and a minimum size of 0.8 inches or 60 pixels. The logo must be used as is and not be altered in any way. There needs to be space (exclusion zone) around the logo. The size of the exclusion zone should be at the height and width of the letter “e” in the logo. The brokerage logo must be at the top of the agent website (above the fold) and for all social media purposes the “one-click rule” applies. The One-Click Rule = if someone clicks on your name from a social media post (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.) it should direct them to your profile page and it should be clear that you are a real estate agent licensed in Minnesota with eXp Realty.
Any general advertisement must contain the following disclaimer:
“The statements and opinions contained in this advertisement are solely those of the individual author and do not necessarily reflect the positions or opinions of eXp Realty, LLC, or its subsidiaries or affiliates (the “Company”). The Company does not assume any responsibility for, nor does it warrant the accuracy, completeness or quality of the information provided.”
Fair Housing Logo Agents are strongly encouraged to utilize the Fair Housing Logo on all materials in addition to the REALTOR®/MLS Symbol; including but not limited to signage, business cards, marketing, media, and branded open house signs.
Advertising & Trade Names You may add the term Real Estate Agent or REALTOR® after your name as long as it follows the trademark rules of the National Association of REALTORS®
