Vincennes University STEP Program

STEP stands for Student Transition into Educational Programs. We are an academic support program for college students with learning disabilities and ADHD. STEP is designed to help students with disabilities be more successful in their college courses. Students are given the opportunity to develop their own unique ability to achieve their highest academic potential.

STEP offers support for college ready students with disabilities such as Learning Disabilities, ADHD, ASD, and Emotional Handicaps through:

  • Private, Professional Tutoring

  • Academic Skills Center

  • Assistive technologies

  • Peer mentors

  • STEP Professors as the student’s advisors to ensure early registration

  • STEP class – college level class to help students learn self-advocacy, time management, communication skills, and good study habits.
