4C Child Care Resource & Referral

4C of Southern Indiana is a non profit organization serving 28 counties in Southern Indiana offering a variety of free program opportunities and services for families with young children, child care providers, businesses and the community.

We are a Family Resource working to empower parents, foster parents, grandparents, caregivers, aunts, and uncles with the knowledge to find a quality childcare setting, understand the developmental milestones in children, understand safe, positive practices for interacting with and caring for children and what is needed to get connected with community resource agencies.

At 4C we work to increase the number of licensed/registered childcare providers in our 28 counties. We do this by supporting emerging childcare programs through the process of becoming a licensed or registered provider. We also engage with providers who are not yet licensed/registered to provide tools and supports for them to move towards becoming a licensed/registered provider.

We also support childcare programs to become high quality providers. We assist with building partnerships with and among other childcare providers by creating cohorts of educators so they can work together to support one another. We also connect providers with resources to improve program qualit

4C also connects with local Agencies and Businesses to develop partnerships with agencies across our 28-county service area to support families with needs that may come up during a family contact. We build awareness of the importance of early learning and the impact it has on both families and the workforce.

We work with local, state, & national lawmakers to introduce strong policy platforms to ensure best practices and outcomes that are replicable in shaping policy for early childhood education. As well as what the impact of early childhood services has on the workforce and to implement generational change with families to ensure a stronger workforce, 15-30 years from now.
