Develop and Implement Special Education Priority Goals

The educational agency will complete the Self-Review Summary Report to identify special education priority areas. The educational agency will then develop One Plan action steps, improvement activities and professional development for the identified priority areas. The educational agency will coordinate the self-review findings with other educational agency plans, where appropriate.

The educational agency will produce a periodic Progress Review Report related to the educational agency’s One Plan. The educational agency will review this documentation and evidence of implementation of the improvement activities (including internal monitoring review results) at regular intervals such as at the DLT. If at any point progress is impeded, the educational agency will consider revision of the One Plan. If data analysis demonstrates a need for additional support in achieving, sustaining, and integrating improvement, the educational agency will reach out to the SST to request additional training, technical assistance, and coaching to support the implementation of directed activities in targeted areas as aligned to the educational agency One Plan.

SST3 has a process for making a request for support which begins by emailing the Special Education at the SST with responses to the following questions:

1. What concerns led you to this request?

2. What current data you have reviewed (i.e. SPP, internal monitoring, BLT). Please describe.

3. What procedures or supports have been implemented to date?

4. Is this a teacher/building/district level concern?

5. Where does this fit into your One Plan? How does this fit in with the broader needs of ALL students?
