Selecting, developing, and administering assessments that utilize technological applications and involve multiple indicators of student progress and using technology to maintain records on student achievement.
For this guideline, I helped Elise Della-Calce (a Phys-Ed teacher at my school) implement Nearpod into her classroom to help her understand where there are missing pieces in her health classes. She is implementing the "Matching Pairs" function in Nearpod to make sure that students know the importance of First Aid vocabulary. I also showed her how to get the report at the end of the lesson to see how long it took some of them to do the activities and to see which ones struggled and which ones didn't. This will help her in the future to really strive in her teaching students not just the content, but also techniques in life.
For this guideline, I helped Laureen Spering (5th grade teacher) implement Quizlet Live into her classroom. Before doing an actual Quizlet live session with the other teachers in the room, I had her explore Quizlet.com to see what it does before even learning about Quizlet Live. She really liked the fact that there are Study Sets already loaded into the program. She also liked the practice functions, and the ready made tests that are there to print if a student misses the live session. She also liked the fact that you can made a copy of a Study Set and make it your own. Since Reading Wonders is all in there she is definitely going to use it to help student success!
