II.A.1
Managing instructional technology services including, creating an environment that fosters interest and growth in all aspects of technology.
For this guideline, I presented at Tuesday Takeaways for East Stroudsburg Area School District on being "Internet Awesome". I taught a variety of levels for this training and I also made sure that they really understood the ISTE standard 2 for students.
This activity definitely fits into this guideline because the teachers and staff that came to the session were able to show off different things that they found on the websites at the end of the session by sharing their activity in the chat. Some of the professionals showed a screenshot of their completed level in "Be Internet Awesome", and others shared resources they found on OER and Kiddle.
II.A.2
Managing instructional technology services including, establishing and maintaining rapport with all staff and students.
For this guideline, I helped ESASD by teaching the custodians of the district the main internet tools to help streamline attendance, payrolls, email, and google meet. The whole custodial department now has the tools to make their work more efficient down the line. They also learned who their leaders are in technology so that they can reach out to each other for more help.
Teaching support staff is always interesting as their buy-in is not always there, but I had sign-in sheets, snacks, dressed professionally, and made sure that all of their passwords were working. I also made sure that I went slow enough for some, and rotated around the room when I needed to.
II.A.3
Managing instructional technology services including, communicating high learning expectations.
For this guideline, I discussed the best ways to utilize Kathleen Muniz's subscription to a Biology website. We discussed Drag and Drop options in Nearpod, Google Slides, and Google Drawing. We also discussed how to create the Cornell Note Taking Guide in her 8th grade Science classes. These techniques will allow her to really strive at teaching college-level note-taking skills in middle school.
II.A.4
Managing instructional technology services including, creating a safe physical environment that is conducive to learning.
For this guideline, I taught the custodians how to make sure that they log out of their Google account every time they logged into a non-private computer. I also taught 12 teachers Creative Commons, Kiddle, and Be Internet Awesome so that they can help their students create safe passwords, and not steal from others on the computer.
