I am a high school student at Escola Secundária de Loulé, passionate about activities that stimulate both body and mind. I love going to the gym to keep fit and healthy. Additionally, I am enthusiastic about programming, always seeking new technologies and honing my skills. In my leisure time, I enjoy playing video games, which provide relaxation and challenge.

I am visiting Lithuania to intern as a programmer, a fantastic opportunity provided by the Erasmus+ program. Lithuania's tech industry is notable for its innovation and provides a nurturing environment for budding programmers. This internship will allow me to gain practical experience and technical skills essential for my career in programming, while working alongside some of the brightest minds in the field.

In addition to professional growth, I will experience Lithuania's rich culture and history, enhancing both my personal and professional development. I am profoundly grateful for the Erasmus+ opportunity, which makes this enriching experience possible. I look forward to contributing to and learning from Lithuania's dynamic tech sector.

In the afternoon, after spending a few hours developing a website as part of my internship tasks, we took a break for lunch. Later, we visited the mall, where we enjoyed an ice cream that cost just 19 cents. The day concluded with a return to the internship to finish the assigned tasks, balancing productive work with moments of leisure.

Today began with a bus ride at 10:10 AM, transporting me to work. I arrived at the company by 11:00 AM, where I made significant progress on my project and assisted colleagues with unfamiliar aspects. After a productive day, I returned to the hotel at 4:00 PM to review some tasks. In the evening, I dined at 7 Friday, providing a delightful culinary experience to end the day.

This morning, I woke up without any work obligations, which allowed me to take care of some personal errands. I started by visiting a nearby laundromat to wash my clothes, making efficient use of my free time. Before lunch, I embarked on an exploratory journey across Vilnius, visiting three different shopping malls. Each mall offered a unique glimpse into the local culture and consumer habits.

We chose to dine at KFC in the second mall we visited, opting for a quick and familiar meal that enabled us to maximize our time exploring. After a fulfilling day of discovery and shopping, I returned to the hotel to unwind and recharge for the adventures that await tomorrow.

During our visit to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, we were enthralled by its architectural splendor and rich historical heritage. Our journey included exploring numerous churches, notably the baroque masterpiece of St. Peter and Paul's Basilica and the austere neoclassical Vilnius Cathedral. The city's streets are dotted with monuments that narrate Lithuania's tumultuous history, enhancing our understanding and appreciation of the region. 

During our visit to Vilnius, we ventured into the intriguing Museum of Illusions, a unique destination that playfully challenges perception and logic. Inside, we encountered a series of optical illusions, from distorted mirrors and holograms to a vertigo-inducing vortex tunnel that made standing a comedic challenge. Exhibits that manipulated depth and perspective provided not only laughter but also remarkable photo opportunities, making us appear alternately gigantic or minuscule. Our visit to the Museum of Illusions was not only entertaining but also enlightening, offering insights into how we perceive space and objects, adding a whimsical yet educational experience to our cultural exploration of Vilnius. 

This morning, we quickly bought a cake to celebrate our colleague Mateus's birthday, as we were almost due to catch the bus. 

On a crisp morning, we embarked on a train journey to Trakai Castle, a quintessential Lithuanian landmark nestled on an island in Lake Galvė. The train ride offered picturesque views of Lithuania's expansive green fields and quaint villages, setting the tone for our historical exploration.

Upon arrival, the sight of the castle's red towers and stone walls reflected in the calm lake waters was breathtaking. Inside, we delved into the rich history of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania through an array of relics and artifacts that depicted medieval life. Armor, weapons, ancient documents, and antique furniture filled the castle, each piece narrating its unique tale of the past.

Wandering through the castle’s walls and towers provided a deep historical insight into the battles, alliances, and intrigues that shaped the region over centuries. Our visit to Trakai Castle was not just a journey through stunning landscapes and remarkable architecture, but also an immersive plunge into Lithuania’s profound historical heritage.

Today, I dedicated a good portion of my day to working on my website. I'm making excellent progress, successfully implementing new features and refining the design to enhance the user experience significantly. It brings me great satisfaction to see the improvements I am able to make.

To unwind a bit, I took the opportunity to play basketball with Menelik. It was an excellent way to relax and have fun, as well as a great physical workout. We played for several hours, which was perfect for taking a break from work and recharging my e1 \45ent to the gym. I maintained my exercise routine focused on strength and endurance. Stepping away from the work environment and dedicating time to sports is always revitalizing and helps me maintain a balance between mind and body.

Today felt like one of those days that stretched beyond the usual 24 hours. I worked relentlessly from the moment the sun peeked over the horizon until it nearly set, making significant progress on the work site. Despite feeling exhausted, I knew I needed an escape, something to clear my mind and rejuvenate my body. So, at the end of the day, although my body was screaming for a couch, I decided to go play basketball. It turned out to be the best decision I could have made. The game took place on a local court under the sky, now tinged with the orange hues of dusk.

I wasn't alone; I went with Menelik and Ricardo. We played 3-on-3

Today was focused solely on work, in contrast to the recent days filled with basketball and gym sessions that had left me exhausted. After finishing work, Professor Eglé brought us coffee, and we enjoyed an afternoon coffee break together. Upon arriving at the hotel, I decided to prioritize rest. I spent the evening recharging in my hotel room, embracing a peaceful night that helped prepare me for the upcoming days. Recognizing the importance of rest, I took the evening to rejuvenate both mentally and physically. 

Once again, I rose early at 9:30 AM to catch the bus at 10:00, arriving at the office by 11:00. I continued my work on the website project and tried a new beverage called "Cult." Later in the day, I went home to relax. 

We woke up early this morning to head to the laundromat. Knowing we needed to tackle the accumulated laundry from our trip, we rose with the sun still low on the horizon. Gathering all our dirty clothes, we walked to the nearby laundromat and spent the morning washing, drying, and folding our garments. While the clothes were drying, we took the opportunity to go out for lunch at Žilvino restoranas, enjoying a brief respite before returning to finish our laundry.

After returning to the hotel and organizing all the freshly laundered clothes, we decided to spend the rest of the day visiting the Museum of Electricity (Energetikos ir technikos muziejus). The exhibit was fascinating, featuring numerous interactive demonstrations and historical displays that taught us about the evolution of electricity. It was an educational and enjoyable afternoon, perfectly complementing our day of domestic chores.

While in Vilnius, I decided to visit a friend who was studying at a local University (Mykolo Romerio universitetas, Teises fakultetas). Upon arriving at the university, we greeted each other warmly and she gave me a tour of the campus. We explored the beautiful grounds, admired the historic buildings, and she introduced me to some of her friends and favorite spots on campus.

After the tour, we took a leisurely stroll through a nearby park, enjoying the lush greenery and the tranquil atmosphere. We spent the afternoon catching up, sharing stories, and reminiscing about our time at university together.

We began our day trip to Kaunas early, enjoying a scenic train ride from the city to the countryside. Upon arrival, we explored the charming Old Town, visited the historic Kaunas Castle, and strolled down Laisvės Alėja, filled with shops and cafes. However, we noticed that the streets were unusually quiet, and many stores were closed due to it being Sunday. In the afternoon, we immersed ourselves in art at the M. K. Čiurlionis National Art Museum. As the day ended, we walked along the Nemunas River, enjoying the serene sunset. We returned home with fond memories of Kaunas, eager to revisit its captivating sights in the future. 

Today began with my usual routine, followed by a productive morning spent programming and collaborating on projects at the office. After lunch, I finished my work and then returned to the hotel. Once back, I joined an important video meeting with Professor Paulo and Duarte. The meeting was highly productive, filled with valuable insights and innovative suggestions.

Today, I had the incredible opportunity to visit an observatory. The experience was enriching and full of fascinating discoveries. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a highly knowledgeable guide who took us on a journey through the world of astronomy.

First, we received a tour of the observatory, exploring several rooms with ancient astronomical observation instruments. We saw historical telescopes, astrolabes, and other devices used by astronomers in the past. Each piece told a part of the history of astronomy, showcasing the evolution of human knowledge about the universe.

After the tour, we proceeded to the main dome, where we observed the Sun through a specially equipped solar telescope. It was impressive to see the solar surface, with its sunspots and flares. The guide explained how these phenomena occur and their importance in understanding our solar system.

Today, I decided to stay home and rest because I was very tired from the busy week. I took advantage of the tranquility at home to relax and recharge my energy.

The only task we did was the laundry. We gathered all the clothes that had piled up during the week and put them in the washing machine. While the laundry was being done, I took the opportunity to relax even more, reading a book and watching some TV shows.

It was a simple day, but necessary to recharge and prepare for the upcoming week. Sometimes, it's important to take some time to care for yourself and rest.

Today, I had a profoundly impactful experience visiting the KGB Museum and Prison. This historical site offered a sobering glimpse into the darker chapters of history, shedding light on the lives of those who suffered and perished under the regime.

The tour began with a guided walk through the museum, where we were introduced to the history and operations of the KGB. The exhibits displayed various artifacts, documents, and photographs, each telling a story of surveillance, oppression, and resistance. It was chilling to see the extent of the surveillance equipment and interrogation tools used during that era.

Next, we moved on to the prison section of the museum. Walking through the cold, dimly lit corridors, I could almost feel the weight of the despair that once filled these walls. The cells were small and austere, a stark reminder of the harsh conditions the prisoners endured. Our guide recounted stories of individuals who were imprisoned here, many of whom did not survive. These stories were both heartbreaking and inspiring, highlighting the resilience and courage of those who opposed the regime.

One particularly moving part of the tour was a memorial dedicated to the victims who lost their lives in the prison. The memorial included photographs, letters, and personal belongings of the prisoners, creating a powerful connection to their stories. It was a poignant reminder of the human cost of political repression and the importance of remembering these events to prevent them from happening again.

As I left the KGB Museum and Prison, I felt a deep sense of respect for those who had suffered and a renewed commitment to the values of freedom and justice. This visit was a stark reminder of the atrocities that can occur under oppressive regimes and the enduring spirit of those who fight against tyranny.

Later in the day, I decided to lighten the mood a bit by visiting the nearby shopping mall for lunch. I went to a place called "Cup," which is known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious food. After the intense emotions of the morning, it was nice to relax and enjoy a meal in a more laid-back setting. The contrast between the two experiences made me appreciate the simple pleasures of life even more.

Overall, it was a day of deep reflection and relaxation, filled with moments that will stay with me for a long time.

As usual on weekdays, I went to work and immersed myself in my daily tasks. The routine was familiar, yet there was a sense of anticipation in the air. The day proceeded smoothly, with the usual rhythm of meetings, projects, and collaborations.

At the end of the workday, however, we were pleasantly surprised. Eglé came to our workspace, bringing with her a beautiful cake and our certificates. She personally handed each of us our certificates, acknowledging our hard work and dedication. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie.

To celebrate this achievement, we decided to have dinner together. We went to Čili Pizza, a favorite spot among colleagues. The evening was filled with laughter, conversations, and, of course, delicious pizza. It was the perfect ending to a productive day, marking not just the completion of our tasks, but also the strengthening of our team spirit.

Today, I woke up early and got ready quickly to head to work. As usual, I had a busy day ahead as a programmer, focusing on tasks for the Emo Steam and Steam websites. My day was filled with coding, debugging, and attending various meetings to ensure everything ran smoothly on both platforms. The hours flew by as I concentrated on completing my projects and meeting deadlines.

Once my workday finally ended, I felt a sense of relief and accomplishment. To unwind and do something special, I decided to visit the shopping Cup mall. I knew my sister had been wanting a new plush toy, and I thought it would be a great surprise for her.

At the mall, I wandered through several stores until I found the perfect shop. The shelves were filled with a variety of adorable plush toys, each one cuter than the last. After some deliberation, I chose a soft, cuddly raccoon that I knew she would love.

Today, we had a normal workday. When we arrived at the hotel where we were staying, we noticed that our equipment seemed to be having problems. Upon closer inspection, we realized that one of our PCs was completely soaked. Apparently, a bottle had opened in the backpack. 

Today was a delightful excursion as we ventured to the iconic Acropolis to procure souvenirs for our beloved family. Amidst the ancient marvels and historical ambiance, I found myself drawn to a quaint souvenir shop nestled nearby. There, I carefully selected a variety of mementos to bring back home.

For my family, I chose a collection of fridge magnets adorned with intricate designs depicting the beauty of the Acropolis. Each magnet seemed to capture a piece of the ancient charm that surrounded us, serving as a tangible reminder of our unforgettable visit.

Additionally, I couldn't resist picking out some charming keychains, each uniquely crafted with symbols of Athens and its rich history. These would not only serve as practical accessories but also as cherished keepsakes for my loved ones to carry with them wherever they go.

Finally, my eyes fell upon a stylish bottle opener adorned with a depiction of the Parthenon. It was both functional and aesthetically pleasing, making it the perfect addition to our kitchen utensils back home.

As I made my purchases, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement, knowing that these souvenirs would bring joy to my family and serve as lasting memories of our unforgettable day at the Acropolis.

Today was dedicated to packing our bags. We woke up early and started organizing our things, preparing for the trip back home. It was a long task, but we were focused on making sure everything was ready.

As the day came to an end, we went to Bernelių Užeiga for dinner with the professor. The restaurant, known for its delicious food and cozy atmosphere, was the perfect place to relax. The dinner was excellent, filled with great food and inspiring conversation. It was a wonderful way to conclude our stay.

Today was a travel day. We took an afternoon flight to Lisbon. The airport was busy, but we managed to check in and get through security without any issues. The flight was smooth, and everyone was excited about arriving in a new city.

We landed in Lisbon at 11 PM. After quickly collecting our luggage, we headed to the Hotel Roma, where we would be staying. The drive from the airport to the hotel was pleasant, passing through some picturesque cityscapes even at night. The architecture and atmosphere of Lisbon are truly charming.

We arrived at Hotel Roma and were warmly welcomed by the reception staff. We checked in at midnight and were soon settled into our rooms. The hotel is cozy and well-located, providing easy access to the city's main attractions.

After settling in, we took some time to rest and freshen up. The journey had been long, but the excitement of being in Lisbon gave us energy. We can't wait to explore everything the city has to offer in the coming days.

Today was the day to leave. We left the hotel and headed to Vasco da Gama, where we caught the Flex Bus to the Algarve. The day was sunny, and the journey was smooth, with beautiful scenery along the way. We were excited to reach our next destination and enjoy everything the Algarve has to offer.
