Assistance League has one of their biggest community outreach events coming up! Operation School Bell where kindergarten through 8th grade students from the metro area are able to "shop" at JCPenney for clothing and to choose a book. School personnel select their students who are in the greatest need of support.

The Aquatic Club of Elkhorn (ACE) is hosting our annual River Races swim meet on Saturday, Oct 4th & Sunday, October 5th at Common Ground. We are seeking several area high school students in need of volunteer service hours to assist with this swim meet in our concessions area. This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours while supporting area swimmers. The Elevation Worship Tour coming to Omaha, NE on October 22nd! We are in need of volunteers for this event! The volunteers will get in for free and get to enjoy the show. They would be handing out packets to anyone interested in sponsoring a child during intermission and after the show. This can also count towards community service hours if needed.

The Rose Theater has a variety of volunteer opportunities! This year we will have six different shows. We use volunteers to help usher guests to their seats, hand out programs, run concessions, scan tickets, etc. Teens can start volunteering alone starting at age 14. A perk of our program is that we provide two complimentary vouchers to each volunteer every time they work a show. These vouchers can be redeemed for any of our productions and have an expiration date of December 2022. Victory Riding Academy, a local non-profit located off of 180th & Q Streets in Omaha. We are looking to rebuild our volunteer base! We take volunteers as young as 12 yrs old, with a parent present. Teen volunteers receive complete training; they do not provide any hands on patient care.
To be a teen volunteer, you must attend the orientation sessions.
You will be assigned to a service area after orientation.
Teen volunteer shifts are available after school on weekdays and also on weekends.
A minimum of one year commitment is required!
You must be 14 years of age to be a teen volunteer. You will be asked to show proof of age.
Duties vary according to the areas of the hospital which you are assigned.
