Career Internship
Career Internship is a school and business partnership in which seniors develop workplace skills during an internship at a local business or agency. The goal of the program is to provide students with work site training that will empower them as they pursue their career goals.

Internship Information
Career Internships may be set up for one semester or an entire school year.
Internships may be paid (minimum of 10 hours/week) or unpaid (minimum of 8 hours/week) positions depending on the situation.
Students report to the internship site for 1 1/2 to 2 hours each day in a typical internship.
The goal of completing a minimum of 8-10 hours at an internship site each week.
Special internship situations may allow a student to intern only 2 to 3 days a week for a longer time period while still maintaining a goal of at least 8-10 hours a week at the internship site.
Internship are typically set up for either 8:00-10:00 a.m. or 1:45-3:15 p.m.
Work Schedules are submitted through Google Classroom to the CAP advisor weekly and verified by the internship site supervisor twice a month.
On-site visits are conducted once a quarter, or more often if needed.
Evaluations are completed by the internship site supervisor each quarter.
The first two weeks of the internship consist of daily assignments on Classroom as placements are finalized.
Weekly Assignments/Projects on Google Classroom focus on skills and techniques of becoming a highly effective employee while building your career portfolio.
Interns are encouraged to meet face-to-face/Zoom with the CAP advisor as needed. Meetings may be required depending on the circumstances.
