Military Opportunities

ASVAB: Available to Juniors and Seniors in the fall each year.

Military Representatives: Seniors have the ability to speak with a representative from the military branches. Seniors can ask their counselor or the counseling center secretary to contact the branch to setup an appointment.

Military Academies: Students interested in attending a military academy are encouraged to begin the process early in their high school careers. Visit with your counselor about this opportunity early in your high school career if interested!

Air Force Ambassador Program-a unique opportunity available to motivated high school juniors. The Ambassador Program allows qualified students to begin the enlistment process early and secure greater control over their future career path. Students who qualify and complete program requirements before September of their senior year can select their top five Air Force career fields, with a guaranteed assignment from that list upon enlistment. This program is designed to help students confidently plan their post-graduation future while still completing high school.

In addition to job security, the Air Force offers strong long-term benefits, including:

• Guaranteed full-time employment after high school

• Over 130 career fields ranging from technology and aviation to medical and cyber

• Tuition assistance up to $4,500 per year and access to the GI Bill

• Automatic enrollment in the Community College of the Air Force

Meet with a Military Expert

Elkhorn Public Schools students have opportunities to meet with military experts each month before school in the commons area. Links are provided below for more information. If you have questions, please contact your counselor or Ms. Buurman.

In addition to the monthly "Meet with a Military Expert" events, students will be able to visit with the military reps at the following times:   

Elkhorn High School - Junior/Senior Night, September 15, 2025 at 6:00-7:30 p.m., EHS Commons

Elkhorn North High School - Junior/Senior Night, September 3, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., ENHS Commons

Elkhorn South High School - November 10, 2025, 11:00-1:00 p.m., ESHS Commons
