OPS Summer Student Intern Opportunity:
To entice more high school students to consider teaching as a professional, our internship program gives high students the opportunity to work in a classroom setting supporting elementary students in literacy and math. They receive professional development on specific activities and interventions that support student learning. Short term, we have seen student growth in these areas and social and emotional learning. Long term, we hope more young adults are interested in continuing to make a difference in the classroom.
Omaha Public Schools is still hiring current high school students (from any district/school) to intern during our summer school program. This opportunity is open to any current high school student, 16 years of age or older by June 1, in good academic standing, and who would be a positive role model for younger students.

Elkhorn Athletic Association is looking for umpires for our 2024 Futures baseball and softball season. Futures Umpires will officiate baseball and softball games for EAA’s Futures recreational program. All games will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from April to June at fields within the Elkhorn community. Umpires will be able to choose the games they are able to work, making scheduling around sports, kids activities and other obligations easy. No experience necessary! We will host several training sessions that will be 2 hours in length and cover all the basics of umpiring - calling balls/strikes, proper mechanics, general rules, situations, and more. Information on signing up for games, payment, and expectations will also be covered at training.
Must be 12 years old by April 1st, 2024. Pay ranges from $20-$45 a game with a bonus for every 10th game. Click HERE for more details!

This summer, we have two camps local to your school that may be of interest to your students! We will be running a small program at the Omaha Country Club in Omaha, NE for ages 4-12. Camp will run Monday-Friday from May 28 – July 26. We will be running another program at The Players Club in Omaha, NE for ages 4-11, where camp will run Monday-Thursday from June 10 – August 2.
