Emanuel is a school that fosters a culture of diverse and considered thought, where you can enjoy lots of heated class discussions about contentious issues and know you will be heard and considered.

Samara, who joined Emanuel in Year 7, is grateful to have had such a rich High School experience and learnt so much during her formative teenage years.

She took advantage of all the opportunities Emanuel has to offer and will fondly remember being part of extracurricular activities, the Green Man Band and being involved with Peer Support. Like many of her peers, Year 9 Ski camp and Chavayah are stand outs.

Samara hopes she’ll be remembered as a hard-working student who formed close friendships with those around her. Her school experiences are filled with happy memories that will stay with her throughout her life. In High School she was able to engage deeply with, and learn about, her Jewish heritage as well as the value of hard work, and her capabilities, strengths and weaknesses as a student. Emanuel has helped her understand the immense privilege she was born into and the importance of Tikkun Olam.

Her teachers have supported her through a difficult year, and she recognises that they have played a pivotal role in ensuring she has the tools to succeed after school.

Samara is described by her friends as a fun-loving academic student who has cherished the social and academic opportunities Emanuel School has given her. She exudes enthusiasm and is a loyal friend and classmate.

She looks forward to 2021 when she plans to explore her tertiary study options, travel if she can and work on her hobbies while earning some money.
