Elijah has embraced his school years, feeling that Emanuel has encouraged him to pursue his interests while facilitating his social and academic development. Having attended Emanuel since Year K, he feels that he has been gifted with a strong moral compass and encouraged to extend himself.

He has many fond memories of his time at school, with Year 10 Chavayah as a stand-out. The immersive experience enabled him to forge stronger connections to his Jewish culture and his peers. He is also proud of the Academic Excellence Award he received in Year 11.

Elijah wants to be remembered as a diligent student who perseveres in the classroom, while always being willing to help his peers. Elijah credits his teachers for helping him focus on his academic abilities and wellbeing, enabling him to achieve his best in a challenging environment.

His friends and peers describe Elijah as someone whose energy and exuberance lights up the room. He leads by example and can engage even the most reluctant participants to embrace whatever issue he is championing.

It is no surprise that Elijah is planning to study a double degree in Law and Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the Australian National University in Canberra in 2021.
