Started at Emanuel in 2008
Emanuel has helped shape me as a young Jewish Australian, teaching me all the non-curricular skills of communication, empathy, resilience, tenacity, integrity, courtesy, responsibility, flexibility and teamwork.
Lachlan (Lachie) has been at Emanuel since Kindergarten and describes the School as the foot of the mountain, giving him the right tools to start his journey upwards. His position as Head Madrich during a challenging 2020 has helped him to develop tenacity and see life through a different lens.
His fondest memories of school include sport gala days, visiting Jilkminggan in the Northern Territory and Year 9 Ski camp. Lachie has performed in a multitude of bands, ensembles, choirs and concerts and his musical talent will be missed.
Lachlan would like to be remembered as someone who cares about other people and the world that we live in. He is polite and a hard worker who applies himself in class, while also being sports-obsessed. Lachlan has a love for tennis, table tennis and basketball and enjoys music.
Lachie’s friends describe him as an amazing leader with a positive outlook and great sense of humour. He plans to study a Bachelor of Human Sciences and Bachelor of Commerce and wants to buy a motorbike!
