Started at Emanuel in 2018
Emanuel School has given me knowledge, friends and the opportunity to participate in events I will never forget.
Alexander (Alex) arrived at Emanuel School in Year 10 and immediately felt comfortable, making friends and embracing the School community. At Emanuel, Alex has been able to explore many different sports which have influenced his choice of career after school. One of his highlights was participating in the three-day PDHPE camp where he had the opportunity to witness how professional athletes train on a daily basis.
Alex enjoyed being a Madrich, organising fun events at school. He has learnt that tenacity is an important character trait and the more effort one invests in a task, the more significant the results. Alex is an avid tennis player and this attitude has seen him compete in both Mexican and European tennis contests.
Alex believes that his teachers would describe him as hard-working, funny and sometimes loud. He is grateful to his teachers for helping him overcome various hurdles during COVID and the incredible amount of effort his teachers have invested to ensure that everyone felt supported this year.
Alex is known amongst his friends and peers as thoughtful, generous and always happy to help out, with a fantastic sense of humour. He hopes to continue his tennis career and move to Europe once the world has settled down.
