We celebrate Ramadan fast. During the month of fasting for Muslims we are permitted solely to eat after sunset. In this month we pray a lot. We read the holy book Quran every day in this month. We give money to poor people in this month and help each other more than other months.
We celebrate two Eids. The little Eid is at the end of the month of Ramadan. The other one, big Eid is two months later. The first Eid is called Eid ul Saeed Fitr and the second is Eid ul Adha. Eid ul Saeed Fitr marks the end of Ramadan.
In Eid ul Adha people sacrifice an animal that Muslims can eat, for example, a goat, sheep, cow or camel, by those who can afford to do so. Also at this time many people go to Hajj in Mecca. We wear new clothes. We say Eid Mubarak for each others. This means “happy Eid”. We eat dry fruit. Mom cooks too much things for us. We go to our relative home. Everyone is so happy.
Ramadan is important because in this month we don’t fight with each other. I pray a lot more than other months. I feel so happy in Ramadan. I go away from using or saying bad words. Ramadan is a very beautiful month for every Muslim people.
