Frida Kahlo

Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo Calderón, Frida Kahlo, was a painter from Mexico. She was born on July 6^th in 1906 and died on July 13^th in 1954.

Frida painted portraits, and also self-portraits. Frida was 20 years old when she did her first self-portrait. She had an illness as a child and began painting after her accident.

Frida was married to Diego Rivera. She is remembered because of her paintings of Mexican and indigenous life.
