Statement of Intent: Many teenagers and people around the world suffer from mental illnesses. My work reflects the transformation between innocent childhood into teenage years. I used characters from a much loved children’s movie/book/TV show, ‘Winnie the Pooh’ and changed their characteristics to portray how people with a mental illness feel. Each character reflects a particular aspect of mental health, and aim to reflect how innocence can be changed and affected by certain situations, people and experiences of the world.
