Teacher Education Partnership (TEP)

What is the Teacher Education Partnership (TEP)?

The TEP comprises of the University of Edinburgh and six local authorities; City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian Council’s. Its purpose is to provide Masters level learning for teachers across the TEP.


The following PG Certs are available and give a route to a MEd Leadership & Learning:

Briefings on the content and applications process for all PG Certs listed below with the exception of Into Headship happen annually in Term 2, recruitment opens at the start of Term 3.

PG Cert: Into Headship timeline annual briefings are held by the Education Scotland PLL team and the Training & Development Officer early in Term 3, recruitment is held in late March. Participants must demonstrate readiness for headship within the next 2-3 years to secure a place on this programme.
