Métis Resistance and Scrip

Description: This session is focused on the specifics of Métis Resistance and Scrip. There will be a brief recap of some history & identity but we will dive deeper into the problems that as a result of Métis Scrip and Canada’s failed promise in maintaining a secure land base for the Métis Nation. We will also look into some historic events and acts of resistance that you may, or may not, have heard of. Acts of resistance that solidified our identity as Otipemsiwak, Michif, and Métis.
