Jerome Chabot is a proud Red River Métis (Michif) educator and the Métis Learning Coach for Sturgeon Public Schools. He is passionate about promoting his Métis culture and traditions and also clearing any misconceptions about the Métis Nation.

Session:

Métis History & Identity

In this session, Jerome will be focusing on the distinct identity of the Métis. We will dive into how the Métis are more than mixed blood people and clear up any misconceptions that people may or may not have. This session will also look at the history, Homeland, languages, culture, traditions, and ethnogenesis of the Métis Nation.
