Fractions Without Fear

Audience: Division 2 & 3

Description: Come and play a variety of math games that focus on fraction concepts at Grade 3 to Grade 6 levels. Regular playing cards and dice will be used to play games that help your students (and you too) truly understand the concepts of what fractions are, fraction equivalency, and simple operations with fractions. Participants will be able to apply what they learn immediately back in their classrooms. An extensive handout with game rules, gameboards, and assessment strategies will be provided. This 75-minute session will be full of fun and easily implemented games and strategies.
