Information:

Jerome Chabot is a proud Red River Métis (Michif) educator and the Métis Learning Coach for Sturgeon Public Schools. He is passionate about promoting his Métis culture and traditions and also clearing any misconceptions about the Métis Nation. In this session, Jerome will be highlighting Métis Resistance as a whole (including some events you may have never heard of) and looking at the effects of Métis Scrip. This session will leave you with a better understanding of what Métis Scrip was and how it affected and affects the Métis to this day.
